The Erie Humane Society and Waldameer Water World are teaming up to give local dogs and their owners a one-of-a-kind end-of-summer experience during Wags, Waves & Waldameer, taking place on Sunday, September 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Waldameer Water World.
This special collaboration invites dog lovers and their four-legged companions to enjoy an afternoon of swimming, socializing, and photo opportunities at one of Erie’s most beloved attractions. During the event, dogs will have the rare opportunity to splash and play in Waldameer’s iconic Wave Pool.
"Our goal is to bring the community together while creating a fun experience for dogs and their families," said Peggy Schneider, Erie Humane Society interim executive director "We are excited to partner with Waldameer for an event that celebrates dogs and Waldameer’s wave pool while supporting the important work of our animal shelter.
Event admission is $20 per dog/handler and $5 for spectators. Participating dogs must provide proof of a current dog license and rabies vaccination. Dogs will have the opportunity to swim in Waldameer's Wave Pool and enjoy photo opportunities with their families. Dogs must remain leashed when not in the water, and owners are responsible for their pets at all times.
The Erie Humane Society and Waldameer encourage community members to gather their canine companions and join in this tail-wagging celebration.
